How is glass mosaic laid on the wall? If this is an ordinary mosaic on a grid or paper, then everything is simple. But if you need to mount an art mosaic panel measuring 4 m2, then a lot of questions arise, how to do it right. The panel itself is assembled in the workshop on a special super-sticky Oracal film, then it is cut into fragments of about 50×50 cm, and thus is sent to the object when folded. Already at the facility, we again lay out the panels on the floor according to the attached layout scheme. We take a spatula and a comb of 2.5 or 3 mm and apply white epoxy glue to the wall. We use Litoelastic from Litokol. We apply glue in a very thin layer, we make sure that there is no excess, because all the excess glue will eventually come out through the seams of the mosaic, and you will have to spend a lot of time cleaning them. We apply the glue in stages, not on the entire wall at once, so that it does not dry, while we glue the mosaic, the drying time of this glue is 40-60 minutes.

Further along the fragments, carefully transfer the mosaic to the wall and glue it. If everything is done correctly, the seams will not be visible, and the panel will look like a single picture. We iron each piece of glass, especially carefully at the joints of the panel fragments. Leave the mosaic to dry under the film for several days. The next stage of installation – film removal and grouting – see in the new video.
